I am not sure about you guys, but the end of the production reminds me when the IS 500 started where people were just scrambling to get theirs and there was limited availability and such, it's kind of exciting (although a bit sad this time)

I agree I think I’m gonna jump on this one as there aren’t that many options left especially with red interior.

Iridium/Red will look great. Can't go wrong with that combo.
I think guys will start scrambling again. There was 48 brand new 2025 IS 500's on AutoTrader last week. It's down to 43 now. I'm assuming the Tahara plant is getting ready to start producing the 500 Ultimate Editions. July 1st is only a few days away. I think these things will start arriving the beginning of September.
Saw an Iridium IS500 couple of weeks ago - looks super sharp. Honestly, I dont' see fault with any colour the IS500 comes with. The body of this vehicle is so attractive that it doesn't matter what clothing it dresses with.
^^ Yup! That would be pretty much as close to the end of the regular production as it gets since the Ultimate/Climate Editions expected to start showing up in dealers in Japan as early as August and likely September to NA
I may have been tempted by the Ultimate Edition but that damn high gloss black finish on those BBS wheels killed it for me. I like the design of the 25 BBS wheels. Just wish they came in a bright silver finish.
^^ Well, the UE will come with the same wheel design but with a matte finish - Which I am not a fan of it either due to the level of complexity in cleaning/maintaining them. If I get one, I am swapping my 350 OEM wheels for these and put the BBS wheels on my traded 2022 IS 500. I know I am paying for these expensive wheels when I buy the car but I don't care TBH, for me, wheels make/break a car and they have to look a certain way! Obviously, I will do a fitment test before buy the UE anyway, and where I just installed Michelin Pilot Sport tires on my current IS 500, I am taking these puppies with me. Whoever buys my 2022 while have a car with 14 500 km on it, in pristine condition (never seen a drop of rain) and with 4 new tires and rims that comes from the UE so a sweet deal for that lucky person (minus the fart smell on the driver seats)
I don't get this matte black finish craze. Every M3/M4 I see has the same thing. You can't see any detail. BMW did come out with a 825M design for 25 MY M3's that looks way better, especially against a dark color.
^^ I agree with you 100%! That is why I will not keep the original wheels that come on the UE and put my 350 wheels. If the Enkei wheels fit (and I don't think they will from what people have said), that could be an option but right now, my plan is to check how the 350 OEM wheels look on the UE and if it works and I like the car once I see it in the flesh, I will pull the trigger. If I don't fall in love with it, then I'll pass.
I agree - darker colored cars with lighter colored wheels look fabulous but I am old school and never really got into the black wheel craze, maybe the steel winter rims in Canada killed it for me (lol)
I was told by another dealership that they would be able to reserve the Ultimate edition for me as well but they aren't sure if they'll 100% get allocation. I guess it's good to still have options lol but im still not sold on the ultimate edition's interior color.. I had suede seats on my previous subaru WRX and they are kinda hard to maintain & would show wear pretty easily.
^^ I think every dealer in Canada should have the ability to get at least 1....so unless someone else has their name on one, you should be able to get one. I agree, until I see it in person, I am still on the fence.
If it's the Launch Edition, these wil start hitting dealers on teh West coast before those further east because they arrive by boat from Japan so we'll hopefull be able to see better pic, better videos and also, feedback from real forum members

yeah initially i was planning to also put down a deposit for the ultimate edition in case the regular IS500 order doesn't go through, but I think im gonna settle on the iridium one for now, can probably use the extra $5k on upgrades myself.
