Congrats to those who got that ultimate edition. I am happy just to be part of the IS community and fortunate to get a IS 500 at the last minute before it was gone for good. I hadn’t had the time to really drive mines, only 225 miles at the moment picked it up in September.

Roads here are crappy so I mainly take the IS 250 for grocery runs and anytime street parking is required.

 

I picked up my vehicle earlier this evening.

Likes:

• Two-tone interior - Coming from an all red interior, I actually like the contrasting colours.
• Brakes - I definitely feel the stopping power of the Brembo calipers.

Dislikes:

• Spare Tire - The spare tire is larger than it was before and is creating a bump at the trunk floor. Any groceries put in the back will now have to be secured so they don't tip over and slide all the way to the back.

Undecided:

• Wind Exterior Colour - It is hard to describe it in person. When looking from afar, it looks like Incognito. When you get up close and there is adequate lighting, it looks like Whitish Silver. When placed under the moonlit sky, it looks like Coffee Brown.
• Ultrasuede - If I'm not mistaken, I think it is going to be harder to clean than the NuLuxe.

I'll take more pictures in the daytime.

Canada spec? I see winter tires and headlight washers.

 

@animefanx2 Yes, the vehicle is in Canada so no credit card key and rear sunshade. I bought the winter tires myself and had them install it on the delivery date. It's now ready for the Canadian winter.

Interior - I like the 2 tone but I just wish it was Nulux all teh way rather than the Alcantara but will see how I feel about it in person
The spare tire - That is not an issue for me as I never put anything in the trunk. This is still better than no spare and a stupid repair kit
exterior color - That will be interesting for me to see in person. I am such a white color fan and the idea of owning anything different is out of character for me
wheels - That is the biggest negative for me. I am hoping the dealer would have a 350 wheel on site as I don't feel like removing one of mine here, take it all the way there for a fitment test. I wish there was a way to be sure the IS 350 wheels (like I have on my 500) would fit as I do not want to have these black wheels on mine if I buy it. I am a bit perplex though, on your car, the wheels don't look like a matt finish but almost like a painted wheel, can you confirm the finish?

 

@wthrman2 I believe the dealership mentioned to me that the IS 350 and IS 500 wheels are interchangeable. This was when I was asking for the forged alloy wheels by BBS two weeks ago. As for the UE wheels, they are matte. The overhead lighting on the dealership was just too bright.

 

Thanks for confirming it was just a light thing - I will try and get answers from the dealer about the wheel fitment when I am there too

congrats! Seems like 245/275 fits just fine on the stock wheels? I wonder if these wheels have the same width as the regular stock enkei wheels?

 

@lexushouston Oh no! Hopefully they didn’t have to use it because one of the Potenza tires had a flat during delivery. 😆

Thanks! I actually saw a sales person from the dealership you purchased from posted your car, and thought the UE came with winter tires lol the alpin 5s fit great on your car, I just got the pilot alpin pa4 stock size and should have gone with 245/275 if I saw your set up earlier.

 

I found this forum through convos on Reddit. I'm in VA and had been searching all over the east coast for an IS 500 and found a dealer in RI that has an Ultimate Edition coming in. I placed a deposit last week and it should arrive in mid-Dec. Looking forward to sharing pics of it with you all then! The pics posted so far look great and they're getting me more excited to take delivery.
