Mark Levinson sound system
Here is some conversation that I had about the upgrade you will also need the Metra 72-8109 adapters.
The Infinity speakers are very "clear" sounding. I first installed just the corner speakers and was pleased with the sound. "Energyarts" on this forum recommended also doing the center speaker. This made an amazing improvement. Since I bought them in pairs, I have one extra as a spare. The wiring harness I used was Metra 72-8109. Order two packages (Amazon) and again you'll have 1 extra harness as a spare. No need to cut into the cars wiring. The Infinity speakers come with 4 mounting tabs and you'll need to remove 2 mounting tabs on each to make them fit.
The center speaker is the easiest to install. The most difficult is the passenger side corner. A foam covered pipe prevents the speaker from sitting flat when you tighten the bolts. I needed to trim an area toward the windshield and under the dash to allow the speaker to sit flat. This was done with a sharp utility knife. This is totally unseen once the speaker dash cover snaps back in place. FYI, I also own a 2021 model but it is the Base with Navigation.
Thank you!

I would have to say I am a little disappointed in the ML system in my IS500 as I would say it sounds a little chincy if that is a word. I know everyone has difference thoughts on this but I have a 2021 Lexus RX350 with the base system and I did upgrade the three speakers in the dash and I believe it sounds much better than the ML system. This may be that I am just used to the sound of my RX but I would say it sounds more bold...if that makes sense.
The ML system in my IS500 is so much better than the non ML system on my 2019 IS. It is growing on me more and more. It is a fantastic system but I do notice the sound gets significantly worse at lower volumes. The system likes to be played loud it seems.
I rarely listen to the ML, because it’s V8 noises all day everyday! When I do though, I agree, the sound is really nice a bit cranked up.
Crutchfield shows a lot of rear door speakers, but not much for the dash or front doors. The front doors are apparently very shallow.
I have been looking at some upgrades again. The rear tweeter right by my ear is killing me. I am thinking about putting some 6.5" coax speakers in the rear doors and unhooking the stock tweeter. I actually faded mine all the way forward to see what happens and the system is much less bright.
