Top 3 - wouldn't change/would change about the IS500
My top 3:
Wouldn't change:
1. V8
2. Exterior styling
3. RWD
Would change:
1. Lose some weight (at least down to 3600 lbs would be nice)
2. Quicker shifting and smoother transmission
3. Bit more stiffer suspension (make it more nimble perhaps)

Ooooh the change list is easy for me:
1. Better brakes
2. Luxury package (HUD, door sensors on rear, better headlights, sliding visors, might be forgetting some)
3. Supercharger 😁
Keep:
1. Another vote for styling
2. Keep launch edition tires for entire lineup lol
3. The level of comfort in normal mode

Wouldnt change will probably be the same for most of us, I'll think of something different
1. Old tech. Nobody needs more touchscreen
2. Those super comfortable seats
3. That body line flows into the rear wheel arch
Change
1. Easy access storage for larger items (phone, sunglasses, etc)
2. TouchPad (probably the only thing I would flat out get rid of) maybes there's a way of just turning it off?
3. Better performance from the triple beam headlights

Wouldn't change:
1. Perfect exterior
2. Perfect front seats (I like them better than the F seats)
3. V8 of course
Would change:
1. Optional dealer-installed supercharger (like Toyota did for the 3UR with the TRD unit at one point for the Tundra)
2. Optional 6-speed manual
3. Brembos

I partially blame I-285 here in the ATL area. I have to take that to get to the office on the rare occasions that I go to the office.
The road surface always has something wrong with it. Potholes, cracks, construction, etc.
Oh my goodness. I have so many paint chips as well. My hood and doors already have a handful in just one year... I owned my 2016 IS 300 for over three years and only ever got chips on the front bumper. I never saw chips anywhere else. but on the IS 500? Everywhere that's not the back, it seems.

Wouldn't Change:
- V8
- Size (in the world of giant compact sedan's, its nice to have a truly compact sedan on the market)
- Build Quality
- Brakes
- 10 Speed Transmission
- More upscale interior materials (lacks the carbon fiber and aluminums of the German couterparts)
So many things I wouldn't change...
1. NA V8
2. Exterior styling (the only thing I would change are the F car side vents at the doors).
3. RWD
After the first 3, there are many minor items I would change, but it's just picky.
1. Active exhaust or slightly louder stock exhaust
2. Weight reduction
3. Transmission

I do sorta love-hate how the 0-60 is not impressive, but the top-end is.
AWD makes a lot more sense in turbo engines with a broad, quick-onset torque curve. I don't think it would make sense with how the 2UR engine is tuned, and how its torque starts low and builds linearly. Sure, if the engine was turbo/supered.
My other car has a turbo I6 making 350 lb/ft, and yes, the AWD is very good to have on it.
