Does is matter if I use blue or brown for the ground or I have to use both of them. Kinda new to this

 

I believe what he's saying is that the wire is a combination blue/brown color. Not separate blue and brown wires.

 

I cant remember if the wire is blue or brown. Only one ground and one power is needed.

 

Can someone please link the wiretap for the mirror?

If you find a single dongle version of the dashcam power adapter, get that because you'll never be able to power a real dashcam from that lead.

I also bought the BlendMount, but never used it. It just made the cabin claustrophobic. I currently use the V1 suction cup mount just to the left of the mirror frit.

 

I'd be concerned with the limited rear visibility here. The device needs clear line of sight in all directions if possible. I have mine mounted under the passenger window visor.

 

I've been using this mirror tap kit which is plug-and-play for my Uniden R8. Plugs directly into the stock harness. This is also compatible with several other brands if they have a RJ11, USB Micro, USB Mini, USB Type B or USB Type C for power.

I tried a blend mound, but it was too bulky and a tight fit. Went back to the stock suction cup that came with the Uniden.
