Best thing I did, along with hooligans like @macmaster did, was buy our IS500 from an out of area dealer. Not only did we avoid the markup annoyances but our cars were fully broken in by the time they got home.
I bought it out of state, but the drive home only got me to ~200 miles. Then the next day I left on a work trip (flying, not driving) for the better part of a week. Now that I'm back in town I put on about 30-40 miles a day. It's getting closer! Unfortunately, between work stuff and personal stuff I have no time to rack up miles beyond commuting and kids' activities.
I'm excited enough to hear the stock exhaust once I can rev it out. Pretty sure I'd be pitching a tent the entire time if I drove around with that exhaust.
I went on night drives to break in the car- before the GTHaus exhaust. Did not need to wake the people on the backroads with the song of our people. There is no mercy now LOL and everyone is subjected to the song of our people.

That is hilarious. The car is not loud whatsoever stock - sounds good, but I don't think a random person in their home would easily hear the car unless it was dead quiet outside. I do kinda long for a little more sound... not sure if I will do that. Maybe something more subtle than the GTHaus exhaust.

Luckily there are many tiers of rowdy now that we know the RCF axleback fits! For many who just want a subtle sound boost, that seems to be enough since a bit of the deficit is in that squished portion in the stock axbleack. I just can never go back to being quieter because even just cruising at low speeds- I love that grumble. It's like being in the belly of a dragon- sounds cheezy, I know... but it's just the deep rhythmic grumble. Get on it, and it's a screamer.. enough to cause temporary deafness. Ask me how I know LOL
For full catbacks:
GTHaus - full rowdy
RR Racing- Pretty full rowdy
Apexi- mid/tame
ARK- tame

Good to know! I think the GTHaus is more than I want on my daily and I already have a Mustang Cobra with an exhaust that'll wake the neighborhood, haha! The Apexi seems like a good middle ground, but I'm not sold on its looks.
How do you like the RSR coils? I was looking at those as well.

That’s fair. If you’ve already got one hellraiser, should hold you over lol! I wasn’t too keen on the looks either. Some people have been doing Invidia and Toms, also good options and more traditional looking.
I like the coils- wish they were a little stiffer to be honest. I do like that they retain the AVS and I think the car sits nicely!
Shown with 15mm spacers all around.

I've been thinking about doing midpipes only, to get more throaty while still appearing stock and keeping the volume reasonable... but that's a decision I'll make after break-in. Only ~175 miles to go!

Nailed it! Mine is valved so closed or "quiet mode" really isn't that bad. But yeah, even cruising at low speeds with no foot on the gas coasting sounds amazing.
Unfortunately, start up is a little loud lol the neighbors seem to be OK with it though.

I'm prepared to cold start my car anytime screaming children season comes around. There's a family right by me that likes to toss their kids in the yard when they're having a tantrum so everyone else can enjoy it... Gotya beat kid. TRY ME
