Default RR racing AOS installation tips

Hey guys. I bought RR racing AOS version 2 and just wanted to share installation tips. Please ignore me if you installed it without any trouble. If you pull stock pcv hose, there is always some oil so I used this on RC F and GS F and it caught good amount of oil. For daily use, it will take some time to collect oil in canister but with some spirited driving, I could see lot more oil in the canister. I had version 1 on RC F and GS F and everything was straight forward. Version 2 is also straight forward easy install but they changed the silicon hose and mounting bracket on version 2 and it was driving me crazy on pcv hose installation. Simply, hose is just way too tight so I tried the following:

1. Silicon Lubricant. After using more than half of bottle, I had to choose different route.

2. Heat gun the hose + silicon lubricant but damn thing didn't budge.

3. Put the silicon hose end in the boiling water the pulled it out + silicon lubricant but damn thing still won't go in!

After many tries, i angled it so much that i destroyed silicon hose end so i had to cut like 1-2 inches off and start again.

After bleeding finger and a soar arm, I asked RR for tip and they told me to use tapered wrench. Why couldn't I think of that before lol?

look at the hose lol. I cut mine so much and silicon end got shorter.

Silicon hose was about .74" and I had to stretch it to .81"

Silicon end got shorter

I bought tapered impact wrench set like this and I used the Silicon lubricant and put the tapered impact wrench into Silicon hose end for few hours. I left it overnight so it will be easier.

After leaving tapered impact wrench in the end of silicon hose overnight, it stretched nicely and I was able to angled it with silicon lubricant and finally that damn thing went in!

If you are installing RR racing AOS version 2, get a tapered impact wrench. It will make your life easier lol.

finally some installed pix:

Two RR racing hoses supposed to be left side of the cover but pcv hose got shorter because I cut few inches off, I had tuck it underneath it. Both hoses supposed be on the left side and going into canister.

i didnt have time to install it because work got busy and busy with family on weekends but just finished AOS and now I need to install the wheels as well.

Bonus: My BC forged HCA162s wheels arrived this week too! I need to put it on ASAP. Good thing it's holiday tomorrow!
