The Auto HVAC directs warm air to the floor when it is cold out and cool air to the dash when it is hot out.
The Ventilated seats pick up air from the floor and directs it through the seat...to your seat.
Find and press the HVAC "Mode" button (fussy icon with up/down arrows) just once when it is hot out.
Now the Air Conditioned cold air will be split between dash and floor. Cool floor air gets picked up and
your feet and seat will thank you.
Coming from a 2018 IS350 with the Nuluxe seats, I can confirm that the fabric seems to play a role in the "coolness feeling" as I feel the air much less with my LE than I did with my 350.
Having the A/C cool air blow to the floor also helps as mentionned.
That is fine. I guess I just need to understand that the ventilated seats on a Lexus are really bad compared to Hyundai and Subaru. Go figure.
I mean, it could be worse... you could drive a BMW where getting real leather locks you out of having ventilated seats. And guess what? Most of their decently-equipped cars will have leather and thus no ventilated seats. I always get a sweaty bum driving in the wife's BMW.
My two cents is to refrain from using the ventilated seats for a few minutes when starting the car. Let the A/C cool things down first. Then it'll work a little better in my experience. You won't be blasting hot air at your rear.

Not Lexus, just the IS. As I said before, our ES, RX, GS, and LS all had great cooled seats.

I had Nuluxe in the ES and those seats cooled great. We have real leather in the RX and LS and those cool great as well. The IS with Nuluxe not so much.
