An update on ordering: I put down a deposit for a regular IS500 as the dealership told me Lexus is still taking orders. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

I also asked a few dealerships about the Ultimate edition, was told by at least 2 sales person that dealerships will need to go through a draw to be able to get an allocation lol not sure if it's the same case for the launch edition in Canada.

As far as I know, there are 40 dealerships in Canada and we are set to have 40 Ultimate Editions. I like to believe that each dealership would get to have one.

 

^^ something similar happened with the LE, every dealer was allocated at least one. I am looking forward to see what these will look like, but more importantly, what will be the fate of the 500 (and IS in general) for the 2026.

 

Heck no. Lol Sorry Wthrman2. But I'm a bit of a coffee snob. I order freshly roasted single origin beans from a local shop. Favorite is Brazil Yellow Bourbon. But then the real snobs snicker at me because I put a ton of Hazelnut creamer in it lol.

Well, I might be a complete idiot but my dealer called me and told me that they had an IS500 coming in that's Iridium, with Red interior....and I turned it down.

I seriously considered it but at the end of the day, my heart is really set on the black and red combination.

I hope I don't come to regret this but I dunno, I just think that it would have bothered me overtime. I told him that if the IS500 is going to be my forever car, it has to have my forever colors.

Here's hoping I don't end up kicking myself for this in the future.

My IS500 came in!!

I just picked it up today. Caviar black with red interior . When I picked it up, I turned on "at last" by Etta James right in front of the dealer..gave him a great laugh.

I can't wait to test this thing out on the highway. It already purrs when I start her up.

Congratulations 🎉 I’m so happy for you! I know the feeling. I picked up a 2025 ES350 F Sport yesterday that I ordered. I can relate to what you were saying about being dead set on red interior. That’s how I felt about Mark Levinson and had to order a second car because the first one that came in didn’t have it. You’re so fortunate to have a naturally aspirated V8. I was considering an IS500 for that very reason, not to mention they are handsome cars. And I don’t blame you on the red interior. I wanted one with that interior too. Have fun!

 

Well, here it is.

I just got it wrapped (stealth PPF - Satin Finish) with red callipers.

I can post better pictures later.

Driving this thing has been nuts. It accelerates crazy quick; to the point that if I'm not careful I can easily blow way past the speed limit. The engine sounds amazing. Definitely something special.
