hvac different temps on left two vents vs right two
so, i dunno if this is the servo motor or the actuator or what, but my car has recently started blowing air conditioned air when the a/c is on out of the left two driver's side vents and whatever the climate control is set to out of the right side vents. cool/ambient air is blown out of the left vents vs heated air when the a/c is off and the heater is on.
i turned on just the a/c at its lowest temp setting and a/c blows out of the left vents with ambient temp air coming out of the right vents.
this is a nightmare as i live in socal where it gets both super hot and reasonably cold. is this a servo motor problem? either way, my car is out of warranty so replacing the servo motor itself is likely easy, but disassembling the dash will be a forever long job. i know the GS had a similar problem but i can't find info on this popping up in an IS.
suggestions? i don't want to pay like 3k if i guess half of the system is working as normal and the a/c clearly still works as it might be fine enough if i just close the vents that are blowing cold air in the winter and hot air the summer. sucks, but 3k!

This sounds like the somewhat-infamous servo issue if you ask me. Obviously, it is not normal/okay.
Does this one seem like it's related to your issue? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-one-side.html

thanks, @arentz07 . yes, that's exactly what's going on. that guy knows what he's doing. haha. i dunno if i could figure out on my own how to fix it, but it's good to know that he didn't have to rip apart the entire dash and the car has an onboard diagnostic tool. i guess i'll start with the latter.
this car, one of my many lexuses that i've owned, has been kind of a nightmare.
