Default Sport+ Mode

Noticed in Sport+ mode, doesn't appear you have access to 6th gear. I understand suspension tightens, and steering is tighter, as well ... But a little odd 6th gear is locked out. Haven't messed around with custom mode, but will be playing around with that feature soon.

S+ is meant for spirited driving, so it'll keep the RPMs higher to be in the power band.

Even in Sport mode in my IS 350, it won't go above 5th until I get to a pretty high speed. That's by design.

I tried that, but doesn't let you leave 5th.

From the responses here, and seeing how the car is tuned ... I believe you are correct. I wasn't on a road that I could open it up. Appreciate the feedback from everyone.

I think that's because the engine RPMs are too low. I can't shift up from 4th into 5th until I am at like 1400 RPM or so. Which is pretty darned low, still.

Did you actually put it in Manual mode as well? Do you see "M" in the gear position indicator?

I don't believe so. It may have been in drive vs manual. I will try again to see if that changes anything. Thanks again!

@arentz07 Spot on! I previously used the paddles in drive, not manual. That may have been holding me back. Put it in manual, and was able to freely shift. I'm am very impressed with how it performs. Just waiting for wings to pop out, and the tires to leave the ground lol. Thanks again!
