I bought a used Lexus very recently and a few weeks ago I go to my local Lexus dealer for a fuel pump recall and a transmission oil change and they offered a free alignment, I obliged and gave them the go ahead. A few days ago I noticed that my tires were making a lot of noise and took them back to Lexus for a check. The tech sent me the video attached. I asked him why my tires looked like they have weird inner wear and he said “3rd gen is350 tires usually only have 30,000 KM of wear” which sounds very low. The car is parked in my garage as I wait for my tires to arrive driving around my wife’s car for now.

 

Welcome! Sorry that you came here for that reason of inner tire wear. I am not seeing the video you mentioned, but your tech was not wrong, though his explanation was too vague. Due to the way the IS's suspension is designed, some premature inner wear can be expected on these cars.
