Default Turn Signals... Is This Normal?

Hey everyone, I just got a 2019 IS 350 F-Sport and love it so far! One thing I did notice was that when I have my turn signals on and go to turn the steering wheel, there aren't the normal clicks that usually happen like in other cars. Not really complaining about the silent operation but just wanted to make sure that it's normal because every other car I've driven always has those clicks lol. Is it like that because the stalk always returns to the center? Thanks for the help!

Yup, no mechanical release needed.

In fact, I think the absence of the "click" is part of the reason for the turn signals' design.

You can press the turn lever all the way down, it will return to center and it'll stay flashing until after you make the turn. Or you can tap it halfway down and it'll blink 3 times then shut off, which is meant for lane changes. It can be changed to 5 or 7 blinks instead, if needed.

There are 2 "clicks" available. A soft touch does a lane change signal for 3 blinks. A hard touch keeps the signal on. Its not intuitive, which is why Lexus did away with it.

There is some adjustment only of the lane change signal: you can select for instance 3 or 5 blinks, I had mine changed to 5. But you have to have techstream (aka a dealer)

Depends on what year IS you have - my 2104 IS250 was able to be changed to 5 blinks without tech stream - not an easy process since it involves a lot of button pushing and turn signal stalk manipulation. I think it took me 3 times to get it to take, but it was well worth it - 3 blinks is too few.
