I am doing a transmission drain and fill and noticed that the fluid adjustment temp is significantly different depending on if you have the V6 or turbo engine.
For 2GR-FSE:
(36 to 52°C)
(97 to 126°F)
For 8AR-FTS:
(30 to 37°C)
(86 to 99°F)
Wanted to share this info and get people's thoughts. When I previously adjusted my trans fluid, I was in a much higher temp range which obviously isn't good.
Truth be told, when I did my ATF change for my IS200t at that time, I did not even need to warm up the car as the ambient temperature was already within 30-37c range, should I have just ran it even for a little while?

But you adjusted the fluid while the engine was running, right? If the engine was running and the temp was within spec, it should be fine.
I’ve only done 1 drive so far and it may be placebo, but I haven’t had the transmission has been super smooth compared to prior
