Headlight and Highbeam issue, I bought the wrong car!
Hey everyone!
So I bought a 2018 IS300 F-Sport off a used lot last Saturday. The carfax was clean and it had low miles so I pulled the trigger. I noticed on Saturday night that the high beams didn't work, so I decided take it in to the dealer today (it's still under warranty).
They told me that the headlights look like they were replaced, and that there was likely some damage to the front end at some point. I also noticed that the front drivers quarter panel had evidence of being resprayed, so I believe them. Now they tell me that I am going to have to pay $1600/piece to replace the headlights with OEM ones in order for them to fix it. I don't really want to pay that much, so I am hoping I can either make these ones work, or find some nice aftermarket ones that support the auto high beam.
Anyone have any experience with aftermarket headlights and auto high beams and can suggest some alternatives?
Thanks in advance for your help!
