haha, so did I when I got mine, seems he keep 1 in stock and when it sells he will produce another one and list it within a few days, so if anyone else is reading this and wants one, just keep checking or message him
I don’t care about my passengers as much so whatever 😂😂. I will keep checking and get the passenger side done someday.
Definitely not. I wasn't sure if there were models out there with heat only and no vent button under it, but there certainly is not any with the vent button but it not function.
I'm pretty sure heat/vent seats are part of the premium package on base models or the F-Sport Package
Lexus certainly would not include the button and it not be functional. If the button is there, you have it.
Good call on this, I just checked my features and sure enough:
If the center part of your seats are made of fabric instead of Nuluxe, then there would be no point to add ventilation to them as they don't pass through the air nicely.
The easier mod is what I've shown above, it took approximately one hour to complete.
I just modded from none to have both.
Switched both front seats and center console panel with switches.

I am about to take on this upgrade as well. Wongnee, I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me: aside from a seat(s) with the ventilated seats fans installed and the fan/heat control switches, what else do I need?
Any additional wire harness?
Can I modify the existing center console trim to accommodate the switch assembly or do I need one that already as the space cut out from the factory?
any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
What else did you need other than the switch? Looking to do this too.
I’ve asked the dealer and they’re just like “You need A LOT of expensive parts to make it work.”.
I’m calling BS and am undertaking this project anyway. I got my seats, the control switch and trim/mounding. I think all that’s left is a wire harness and possibly a control module? Both of these I’m totally unsure about, however.
if anyone takes their seats out, I’d be in your debt if you could take a photo of the wire harness and any control box under the seat🤞🏼
Well Wongnee wasn’t around to help but I tackled this project myself and was determined to make it work.
After taking to several Lexus dealer part center managers who all told me that I’d need a complete wire harness $3500-$7400, new seats $4-$6000, new center console and switch, approximately $700 and $450, respectively plus a “module” (unspecified $), I decided to tear my front console apart and see for myself, what lies below. I had already sourced seats, center console, and the switch but the wiring was sounding like a VERY expensive and labor intensive part of the project.
To my surprise and joy (not even kidding) the parts guys were wrong as there was a little pigtail harness taped to another harness under the console. This is the connector for the heat/ventilated control switch!
If you’re interested in tackling this job, just verify that you have the pigtail (photo) before you start. If you do, (and it’s very likely) this job is not that hard or expensive.
I sourced all the parts used.
Front and rear seats $600
Switch $65
console $90
Be careful when sourcing the center console and switch as our cars have 2 different finishes. One is glossy and the other is matte/charcoal. I had to buy two…🤦🏼♂️
The photo is of the part number for the glossy finish.
Overall, I’m pleased with the way it turned out (will install the passenger and rear seats this weekend along with the correct finish center console (🤞🏼. I will admit that I’m a little disappointed in the ventilated feature as it’s very weak. My sisters 2019 RX350’s ventilated seats worked so well that they actually made me cold, something hard to do in the summer months.
Great info!!
What year is your car? and is it a 250?
Why is the console needed? Does the switch panel not fit in the OEM console? Asking cause my car has heated seats but no vented seats.
Also, did you have to disconnect the battery to remove the seats?
Mine is an 2015 IS250 Base
The console is needed to accommodate the switch assembly. Since yours already has factory heated seats, you’ll just pop the heated seat control/switch assembly out and swab with the dual heated/ventilated unit. Here’s what the console looks like without the heated seat option.
I don’t think it’s necessary, but I did disconnect the battery before removing the seat.
