Default Hit a deer going parallel

I was doing 65 in a 45 3AM at night and this deer came out of no where. I hit my brakes, car was skidding so I let off and the deer kept zig zagging back and forth and I forced my car onto the other side of the road but still impacted. I checked, there was no damage except some lines which came out when I used a microfiber cloth. I saw a piece of chipped paint which I'm most concerned about. I'll post a pic tomorrow, need some solutions. I have a bunch of chip spots all over the car and they turned into a little bit of rust. Not trying to have that happen to my door. I have the pearl white color so would touch up paint work? Thanks

Spoke to soon, there's a small horizontal dent under the mirror.. ffs. Can this be removed w/ paintless dent removal?

Firstly, glad you're ok, the accident could have been much worse.

I too have the ultra white exterior, absolutely love it, however it is notoriously difficult to match from what I've read. The touch up paint offered from Lexus is, if I remember correctly, a 2 bottle deal with the white in one, and some sort of clear plus something else in the other, I really can't remember.

Ultimately, I think a PDR can get the dent out as long as its not on the body line significantly. For touch up, you can try your luck with any of the 2 bottle offerings from a few different outlets, but I just know from reading through here that none of the match up perfectly once dried.

Good luck my friend

Swaangin - I too am happy that it was nothing too serious, these animals can really do a number on any vehicles and people's lives - I live in moose country and let me tell you, if we hit one of those, it's game over for both the car and the occupant (at least those in the front seats).

As far as your dent, it is hard to see on this pic so I suspect that it can be somewhat restored through a paint-less dent remover but it may not be 100% but enough to make it livable with. With the paint chip, it sucks but I think the only option you have is through a touch up paint - I wouldn't see anyone wanting to do anything else for that size chip, especially given that your car is not new now. It will not be smooth and you will still see it but I can't think of any other solutions

Again it sucks but given the whole scenario, you got off pretty lucky!!! I see some people who's vehicle get backed into or keyed and such....Take comfort in knowing things could have been a lot worse, for both you and the car.

Dealing with paint chips is inevitable and they are more pronounced with white paint, just get a quality touch up paint that is close enough and you will forget about it. Oddly I had a chip on the rear bumper so who knows where that came from as it wasn't because of my own actions.
If you look closely I'm sure you will find chips in your front bumper or hood by now, I have a few to fix in the front with just being on the road for two years.

Thank you! Yeah, I'll see how it goes with the paintless dent removal, already found a place with really good reviews. If you can post a link of the touch up paint + clear, I'd appreciate it. I had Lexus do some touch up paint (didn't match at all) on the spoiler but it was fine, but it started coming off after a year or two. I'm surprised this paint is so fragile

Thank you, I'll definitely look into it. Yeah, I know the touch up paint won't match but it'll conceal it and prevent rust. You're 100% right, could've been worse, appreciate the words
