Default DIY Ceramic Coating for PPE headers?

I am debating on getting the headers either heat wrapped or cermaic coated as leaving them bare in the New England with the salt/snow isn't ideal.

Anyone have experience doing the ceramic coating for headers themselves (with VHT coating) versus paying 300$ for a shop to do them? Any input would be helpful.

I thought the ceramic coating is for preventing the excessive heat that these headers produce in the engine bay and not for corrosion?

It does both, prevents heat and corrosion which is why I am leaning towards doing it versus wrapping them

I'd shell the extra $ for the ceramic coating and would just get it directly from PPE. The wrap will look like crap in just a couple of months.
