SRS Airbag Light On
Hello! I have a 2014 Lexus IS250 F-Sport whose SRS Airbag light recently turned on. We have tried disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes to see if the light would turn off, it has not. The car is currently not being driven as I have read it could be a dangerous issue. Any ideas on other things to check before taking it in to pay for a diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

If a code is in the SRS system causing the light to come on, then you cannot clear it by disconnecting the battery.
When the warning light is on the system is deactivated.
Feel free to drive the vehicle, however in the event of a collision, be mindful that the airbag system won't activate.

Same thing happened to my is350, I'm planning on buying one of those obd2 scanners that can read SRS codes so I can figure out what the issue is. I've been driving about a week or so with it on, just hope someone doesn't crash into me
