2014-2016 IS Front Lip Reccomendations
Hi everyone,
I know there is a few other threads on lips / side skirts, but I wanted to revive it as more people may have tried different lips. I know about all of the really nice lips available, Aimgain, Seibon, TRD, etc. However, I live in the northeast and dont really want to spend upwards of $1,000 on a lip that could get messed up pretty easily. I was wondering if anyone has a front lip / side skirts that they LOVE in the 100-250 dollar range. Something carbon fiber would be ideal, but for that price there is really only one I was able to find. Any help / pictures / links would be supremely appreciated!
Thanks

While I do agree with Topendms, I will also say that hey, we've all been there and some priorities are different for others.
I put some baller parts on my s2000, lol - it's a Honda, but on the IS we've put a few items that cost substantially cheaper. Is the quality bad? No, not to me and I'm OCD as heck.
With that said, if you want a front lip that is okay, I highly recommend polyurethane/PU, I would suggest looking into some replica vendors, in the past we've used Ikon Motorsports and they offer durable lips and the fitments I've had with them in the other two vehicles I've owned in the past that used them, I've had zero issues, I think one just required a light bit of massaging with a heat gun but that took under ten minutes and the rest was golden.
It's not $100, but it's not $1000 - for the price, I think you'll be just fine.
Get some good self tapping screws along with 3M tape if it's not already included.
I hope this helps some.

This absolutely helps! I actually just ordered an Ikon Motorsport front lip. The one I want wasn't in stock anymore so I found it from a different vendor. What was really holding me back was looking for CF. Once I realized that wasn't going to happen for sub 600 dollars it was easier to make a decision lol! I wish I was at a point where I could spend 2-3,000 on a complete body kit but it just doesn't make sense for me. You said it best, everyone has different priorities. For me, I wanted to handle my big performance mods before aesthetic, and now I just want something to help make it look a little more aggressive without breaking the bank. And if I had 3000 to spend it would be on a wide body not a front lip and side skirts lmao. Thanks a lot for your help bud!
