2021+ IS Picture Thread
Thank you! Rioja is definitely a nice red too. I've seen it on the IS300, but as you said, it's not offered on the IS350. I will say this though, its a bright red, but I think it helps to make the cabin feel larger than it actually is. Also, in the picture they are slightly brighter than normal because I had literally just finished applying some Chemical Guys cleaner and conditioner. Trying to keep my seats protected for this South Florida sun lol.

One thing though, this is NuLuxe and is actually vinyl (not leather). So technically the seats do not need conditioning or moisturizing. Or at least that is what all the chatter concludes in other Lexus forums. I just wipe mine down with a clean, damp cloth once a week and they still look brand new after 1.5 years. Something to consider...
Florida is on my radar for a visit one of these years!

If you’re worried about UV damage tint your windows. I’ve tinted all windows including the front windshield (windshield 80% tint).
Again, you have an amazing looking IS and as you said, Lexus really brought the 3.5G to a whole new level!!

(LOL)No prob. I'm quickly warming up to the red... and your pics helped a lot!

Yeah as the post above stated, no conditioner needed. It’s NuLuxe. The only leather surface in the current IS is the steering wheel I believe.

I'm definitely going to get tints though; I have an appointment for this Saturday to get Llumar Formula One Pinnacle installed. The legal limit in Florida is 15% in the rear and 28% in the front. The legal configuration I could go with is 15% and 30%, but I saw on the product pages that the 30% isn't a true 30%, and instead it has a 33% visibility. For that reason, I am torn about going down to a 25% in the front, but that is actually a true 25%. I don't think cops will throw a fit about 3%, but just in case I just so happened to get an appointment with my eye doctor for new glasses, so I might ask him for a paper. What do you guys think? 25% or 30% in the front?
Congrats and thanks for posting!! These are AMAZING looking pics!! I think last time I saw pics looking so amazing were....nahh...never mind (lol) - Seriously, the BBS on the CAVIAR are a must, it really changes the whole look of the car and I can see why you were so adamant about wanting them. The interior looks fantastic as well, thanks to great pics from guys like yourself and 2017FSport, I am now really growing a fondness for the red interior - I had 2 red interior before and I never had any dislike for red, it was just the amount that was my issue but my retina has become accustomed to it now
Again, you have an amazing looking IS and as you said, Lexus really brought the 3.5G to a whole new level!!
Ironically, the LE interior is one of my favorite aspect of the LE, more than the incognito and BBS wheels!! But as TipsyTonio said, don't regret your LE, it is a gorgeous car and the exclusivity is quite a nice thing too
I used to have the Rioja red in my 2017 IS and I loved that red - I am curious what the new IS F Sport with the Rioja red would have looked like....There is no question the circuit red is a lot brighter. I am looking forward to seeing the IS with the red interior....I have seen it in pics and videos and the hue always seem to be a little different and must be related to the camera settings. I have seen some videos on youtube where it almost looks 'orang'y' which that could be an issue from from the pics I have seen from 2 of the guys I mentioned above, I am pretty sure I'll be fine with it
The red interior looks great so I hope that is how it will look in the flesh - and sure, protect the seats from the sun is your real objective...I seem to have noticed the back seats had more protection applied, must get really sunny there
(LOL)

(LOL)Lmao about the back seats; not in this car though. I have to keep it pristine.
^^ I can assure you that you won't have to worry about the jean's transfer to the red seat, I had an IS and RC with red interior for 2 years each and never has such issue nor did I worry about it

As a side note, the Chemical Guys sprayable leather cleaner and conditioner left a very very slight slippery shine to it. Personally, I'm not too much of a fan of that on the steering wheel, but I presume the finish will wear down little by little.

Honestly, I hate Adams and Chemical Guys products... cheap and ineffective (they literally have a product for every single job which is stupid). Try Gyeon or Carpro. More expensive but so much more value and effectiveness in their products. A cleaner should never leave a slick surface nor should it leave it looking "shine." If you clean your interior weekly, Carpro InnderQD or Gyeon Interior Detailer should suffice.

While I am usually with you on the Adams and Chemical Guys products, I have to say the best leather cleaner and conditioner I have found throughout all my years detailing is the Chemical Guys leather cleaner, used in conjunction with the Adams leather conditioner. Been doing my steering wheels for a while with these and they work great. I don't condition the Nuluxe leather in our Lexus products, but have always done the steering wheels and shift *****. Just my opinion. If there is something better, I am game to try that too.

For leather conditioning IMO, the best is Colourlock. Matt at Obsessed Garage carries them and I'm sure you can find it on Amazon.
