After getting my RSR down springs and RCF/GSF LCA bushings, my front tires got chewed through with inner tire wear. I was told that the toe was improperly set, I went to my local Firestone and told the manager I wanted the toe set from 0.6-0.08 in the front. He told me that he maxed out the toe and that if he went any further something would "break". I am surprised that I read in the sticky thread that the person was able to get to 0.08 toe in the front. Currently, I believe he got the toe set to 0.03 - 0.04. Will this be fine? Just got new tires so I am trying to have max tread life or should I find a new alignment shop?
Find a new alignment shop...there is so much Toe adjustment possible it's ridiculous.
To say he maxed it out is a lie...if you really maxed out the Toe, whether Toe In or Toe Out, the front wheels would look visually retarded.
Maybe he got it mixed up with the Camber...cause with RSR Downs you do max out the Camber in the front if the vehicle is AWD...cause only the AWD has factory Camber adjusters in the front.
