Update: got mine done! everything went awesome from start to finish.....Kuni Lexus in Greenwood village...awesome all around

Master Mechanic worked on mine, sent a vid of thorough inspection tires, suspension, etc.

Loaner car was a super nice RX

i usually do all my maintenance, etc. but if i needed a dealership for recall, i will take it to them!

side note: can anyone explain why my camera sees the DRL's flickering in video mode but the naked eye doesn't?

I don't know if you have ever filmed anything with LEDs before but cameras frame rate and electricity frequency are different and cause that to happen. literally point a video camera at anything these days it happens all the time.

Be sure and ask them to replace the fuel filter as long as they're in there. The cost will be <$20 and well worth it. The fuel filter is generally not an issue, but when it is, it can be costly.

Anyone else have any other ideas of what could be done while they're in there?

I called 10 dif dealers trying to get a part number for the filter...every single one gave me a diff number. Do you know what it is?

If you had the fuel filter changed on your car, could you post the part number?
In trying to find the fuel filter part number, there seems to be some question about what it is.

Hey, I tried the one u gave me but it didn’t have the filter, only that little plastic part. I’ve called 10 dealers no one can find a part number, hows that possible? What if one is broken or lost during repair?

Either way I just said F-it and got the recall done without it, didn’t want to do that but I’m pretty sure fuel filter won’t be an issue with my mileage

The dealership carries the filter (or they should). Call 2-3 weeks in advance and let them know you need the filter changed as part of the recall, that way they will have it in stock. This is likely your best option. I wish I could be of more help.

I ran into the same issue with the cabin air filter until I took it in and places like Autozone, Pep Boys and Walmart kept giving me the wrong filter.

It would seem that the dealers can't even locate the filter in the parts diagram much as less have it in stock.
Some of us have scoured various online parts catalogs and still haven't been able to get the part number.
One dealer suggested it came as part of the fuel pump assembly that houses the fuel pump within...which then makes the "filter" a $400+ part.

Had my fuel pump replaced yesterday at the dealer. All went well except for some gas smell in the cabin. No big deal.

But when I drove it, it felt like it had more pop and that it was generally smoother. is this all in my head?

got mine done last week, gas smell goes away in a few days. Mine was idling really rough that’s gone now. Didn’t really notice a difference anywhere else.

Where are you finding the recall info. Every time I do to Lexus driver the site is partially broken. It's the most useless site I've used. Been like that since I bought the car 7/2013.
