Default What you guys use for advanced scanners

Looking to buy an advanced scanner that would show me all live data about the car like misfires, oil pressure, all kind of temps, etc, while the car is running, as well as all fault codes, etc.

any tools in the market for lexus/Toyota?

I work mostly on German cars and they have specialized cables and software for these purposes

I borrowed a BlueDriver OBD2 tool from a friend, and he was able to track items like you have mentioned. I don't think it is particularly "advanced" or expensive. Of course you'll need some kind of smartphone app to connect to it.

I actually have one as well laying around.

Was hoping for something more advanced, which can also provide limited programming of certain parameters, and so on.

Thanks for your reply

I have personally only used it for checking codes, but this thread was essentially brought to us by his BlueDriver scanner: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...d-f-sport.html

The best you can get, is a knock off mini vci tis cable, and legally questionable techstream software (usually bundled with it). This is the official software that actual Toyota techs use. I have been using mine for years across multiple Toyotas and Lexus with no problems, and it allows you to see advanced configs and logs that normal non Toyota OBD reader/scanners can not.
