Do you put the cheapest tires you can find on it?
do you use the cheapest brakes you can find?
do you use the cheapest oil?
Do you hire the cheapest mechanic you can find?
Do you use the cheapest wiper blades?
dude reading comprehension is not your forte so let me say it again for the 10th time.

I do not track my IS I drive it to work.

I do not track my IS I drive it to work.
I track my turbo miata or a yamaha R1 or my KTM.

Do you put the cheapest tires you can find on it? Just about.
do you use the cheapest brakes you can find? Yes
do you use the cheapest oil? Yes
Do you hire the cheapest mechanic you can find? No, I do my own work.
Do you use the cheapest wiper blades? Yes

What you can't seem to get is that some people don't just own one single car. And when you have several cars you don't go buying the nicest parts you can afford for every single one of them. The turbo cars get 94 octane because they need them and can lose probably 30-40hp if I don't use it (best case scenario), or blow up an engine worst case scenario. The IS will do nothing on regular, it will probably lose 4hp and **** off a lot of OCD forum members.

Your logic doesn't make any sense because you think buying a single 50k car is the only thing a person does. But that person might have a 50k daily driver, a 20k truck, a 30k sports car, and 3 motorcycles. And guess what, they all need oil, tires, wiper blades, brakes, maintenance. Now why the heck would I waste money $15 a quart royal purple or amsoil in my lexus that gets driven to work and to pick up groceries when the car that I take on track days or the bike I race with actually needs it?

I really don't care what you think about my car on the used market or how you wouldn't buy it from this type of owner or that type of owner, that's not my problem. That's your problem and what you have to deal with buying a used car. That's like saying I'll stay at a 5 star hotel but I won't do certain activities in the bed, because this is such a luxury establishment and all, and I have to be considerate to the next person who's going to be sleeping in that bed.

All right, I think we have enough input on what gas everyone uses. For future reference, a more efficient way of collecting this information would have been a poll.

For future reference also, if you have issues with any post by another member, I would prefer bringing it to my attention via PM, or if you simply PM the author of the post beforehand rather than doing it in the forum.
