Default 60,000kms on front pads

Alright, so I heard a small squeal from what I thought was my brakes. So I’m about to change my brakes pads out, when I pulled the wheel off and noticed how much meat I have left on my pads. I have about 60,000kms on these pads and they are still looking stout!

just curious, how often are you guys changing pads? I just did my rears at 135,000km, first time ever changing them. I did pads rotors and calipers. All OEM. I have zero issue with the stock f pads dusting. I wash my car at least once a week...

I drive my car hard af. I’m surprised I don’t go thru more brakes. Mind you I always down shift and don’t speed towards red lights.

Whatever you're doing to get that much life out of the pads, just keep on doing it.
Unfortunately my car doesn't have enough mileage to comment about pad life...I have 72,000kms on it, but did a brake conversion at about 35,000kms.

Just curious, when you did the rear brakes why did you replace the calipers?

I just changed my front pads and rotors at 70,000 km. My rear pads still have about 6mm according to the dealer. I do mainly highway driving with some stop and go traffic.

the right rear caliper was slightly seized. So out they came.
