Even, if the exterior and interior remains the same!
The BMW N55 I6T from the Supra will not land in the IS.

It's significantly longer than the 2GR V6 and longer than the 2UR V8, it just won't fit while meeting crash regulations.
Beyond that, although the Supra is a rebadged and reshelled Z4, I don't think Toyota would stuff anything from BMW in their luxury arm.
Lexus won't even use a ZF8 trans even though it's much better than the Aisin unit they currently use; part of that is money, part of that is pride.

The current I6 engine in BMWs these days is called the B58.

I agree with you though, dimensionally it doesn't seem feasible.

Smart move. More important things going on right now. They'll likely do it in a couple weeks.

Or... they've seen threads on this forum, and decided they need to go back and retool it.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had that kinda say.

would be interesting if they took some polls from verified medium-long term owners on certain topics. Wouldn't mean it changed anything, but things they'd consider. Not really the right industry for such a thing though.

June 9th reveal seems to have been postponed.

Sorry, did not see earlier post.
