Gear issue
Hey guys,
I have a lexus IS 250 F-Sport 2014 model and have been having some troubles with it which no mechanic cant explain. My car experiences vibrations till the speed of 60 km/h and then gets completely normal till I brake down and start again from 0. Now if I, turn off the traction control completely the vibration only happens till the speed of 30KM/h. The second thing that I came across accidentally was when I had to put on a spare tire and as soon as I started to drive my car dashboard showed me a message " AWD system off " and my car is completely normal without any vibrations. I do not understand what the issue is and what I should replace as far as I think the AWD system should be replaced. Any suggestions?

Maybe we can help out if we had a little more information.
What's the mileage on your IS?
Do you have the stock F Sport wheels? If so what tire sizes are you running and how old are they?
Has the vehicle been in an accident recently or has it had an alignment recently?
From your description is sounds like the VSC and/or TRAC are activating under conditions that they think they need to, so no warning lights or codes are being generated.
When the AWD System Off message appeared, it likely deactivated both the VSC and TRAC, hence why the vibration stopped.
If it is the VSC and/or TRAC activating unintentionally, then the vibration must be pretty bad.
Maybe we can help out if we had a little more information.

The mileage is around 100,000 kms and the tires are brand new, according to the size on the driver door panel.
Yes, the vibration is pretty bad in the start and I cannot find anyone who understands whats going on, every mechanic claims that I should replace my whole gear but it doesnt make sense to me as my gear is perfectly fine. It is probably something else which no one seems to figure out

If you have new tires installed, I would suggest getting an alignment done if you haven't done so already.
The alignment won't help your issue, but for your issue I would suggest doing a Zero point calibration of the Yaw Rate and Acceleration sensors. This can be done easily with a Techstream...Toyota/Lexus's scan tool.
It's best to do the calibrations after an alignment...hence why I suggest the alignment, especially since you have new tires installed too.
What the calibrations will do is basically tell the computers what the vehicles new "Straight ahead" position is.
If the VSC and/or TRAC are activating because they think the vehicle is somehow not going down the road straight, then this will reset that straight ahead position for those systems.
Also with the Techstream you can see if any of the systems have any codes in them.
Additionally you can see live data on the Techstream...like the speed of each wheel from the ABS sensors when you're driving so you can tell if one of the sensors is reading abnormally.
