Safety Recall Notice
Yeah actually supposedly Lexus is paying you to get a rental car from I think it was Enterprise until there is a fix and it gets fixed even if you're not having issues. That's the memo that was shared on one of these threads here by one of the moderators. They aren't giving Lexus loaners since obviously there wouldn't be enough in this case.

I mean it's your choice. You can ride around in your 3IS this whole time until the fix is ready and hope your pump doesn't fail or you can drive a rental this whole time lmao. I'm not worried about the pump failing personally so I'm going to drive my 3IS until the fix is ready.

Yeah I’m pretty sure for the most part only people experiencing actual issues and those that are super paranoid are riding around in econobox cars for this recall event already lol.
Paraphrasing the issue: "low pressure fuel pump malfunctions, causes rough engine running, resulting in a stalled vehicle, and unable to re-start", just wondering if this does in fact happen, and your car is "unable to re-start", does Lexus provide any mitigation until the actual remedy is available? Don't mean ONLY a loaner, but ALSO a temporary fix, like a different fuel pump, until they get the new ones?

Since my 2014 is in the group, and has run fine for the last 6+ years, I’m not concerned that it’s suddenly going to fail in the next few months.
I’ll keep using it until I can take it in for the replacement pump.

One of the earlier posts I believe Jeff Lange indicated it was $40 or $45 a day...can't remember which.
I think they have a deal with Enterprise to supply a vehicle...it's not going to be as fancy as the IS, that's for sure.
Well that’s why I brought up the “Remedy Available” status. That to me would mean they are ready to fix it. I would call my local dealer in the US and ask but I’m over in Germany lol. I may call the local Lexus here and ask.
