Default 3IS Paddle Shifter Extensions

For those who have extensions, are you able to use the paddles closer to 10 & 2? I've noticed that the factory paddles have a very lateral movement so I end up holding at 9 & 3 to get good contact which doesnt give great grip on the stock wheel.

I'm a dealer for a ton of manufacturers so I'm not asking for brand recommendations, just functionality.

Since you don't care about the brand then I won't be telling you. I don't remember a location where I cannot use the extension. It feels like OEM and it doesn't really feel like an extension now.

You should be holding the wheel at 9 and 3. It keeps your arms out of the way for the airbag. It also will give you the most control of the wheel.

Like that’s gonna be comfortable on a 8 hour drive.

7-8 or 4-5 works for me.

You get used to it, it is an adjustment at first. It's about safety. If you are in an accident, having your hands out of the way when the airbags go off make for less chance you hit yourself in the face.

I can’t go through life thinking “I might get into an accident today, so let’s put the hands at 3 & 9”. I use those positions for the heated steering wheel, but that’s it.
