Wheel Help
Thank you guys for always being so communicative.
I am looking at a set of wheels for my 17 IS200T F-sport.
They are 18x7.5 50mm offset all around (square setup).
Questions, how will this sit compared to stock?
What is the biggest or recommended tire size for this wheel size and for the car?
thanks

Chances are it won't clear the front calipers. It should be ok on the rear.
You could use a 215/45/18 tire.
Those wheels, if they fit, will be pushed well into the wheel well.
Is this going to be a winter wheel setup? Just trying to figure out the downsizing reasoning.
Thank you for the response, this makes sense now and is the exact opposite of what I want. Compared to stock spec it isnt too far off from the 50mm rear and 45mm front. I suppose for the front it will be .19" from stock which might make it look funny. I can run a spacer but dont want to do all that.
thanks again sasnuke, they were a set i found for a good deal:

If you want a a square setup, might I suggest getting 2 front rims for the rear, or 2 rear rims for the front.
Even though 18x7.5 +50 is close to factory spec, given that the factory rims are designed to barely clear the calipers, the difference with the aftermarket rim will be a lot more than you think.
The F Sport front rim is 0.5 inch larger and the rear 1 inch larger...so that has to be combined with the offset when you're looking at the aftermarket rims.
I looked at the ad...it's possible that when they reference IS300 they meant the first generation IS, from 2001 - 2005

yes, these wheels have been refinished and were a set from the early 2000's. Volk doesnt even make this spec any longer they only make 18x8 and larger. The is300 reference is referring to the 1st gen. thanks for your input, I will pass on this.
I wouldn't put wheels that old on a newer car. That's just asking for problems. I'd go professional OE F Sports or equivalent. This car is too heavy for any real competition use so may as well not try to put highly stressed/thin/sensitive wheels on it. Potential for major headaches and it can cost you a lot of time and money due to repairs in the long term. Thankfully the engineers at Lexus (or any major car manufacturer) did the homework already and came up with great wheels suitable to the application
