I have a 2015 IS250 with navigation. When I am driving, my passenger is unable to change system settings or navigation settings, such as destination. Is there a way to disable this limitation, such as by using OBD2 or other connection?

You need navigation override module just like below but if I were you I would just forget about using factory nav system all together and use Waze on the phone.

Yeah, I think phone navigation is probably the best strategy. I thought if there’s an easy way to modify, I would do that, too. Seems like there isn’t an easy way.

 

You can have your GPS on your phone play the audio over the sound system with Bluetooth, just to let you know.
Sometimes I use my phone, sometimes the navigation.

Excellent! I was a bit surprised when I hooked up Bluetooth and selected it to hear music, Spotify automatically started playing. Nice.
