Default Looking to buy 300 vs 350

All - I'm currently looking to buy a 2016 or newer IS300 (or 350). After examining engine specs, I noticed the 300 has the same engine as the 350, just detuned. So my questions is:

1)Is it smarter to get a 300, save the money, and possibly get some sort of flash/tune to bring it up to 350 specs?

2)Is there are reputable company/product that won't void warranty if this flash/tune is out there (I've seen some RR racing stuff out there)?

Would really like that 300hp+ number at an IS300 discount but will do the smart thing if the life hack isn't sensible.

Thanks in advance!!

I know this is old, but just in case you still needed info:

Yes, the 300 is a detuned 350. Many have done the rr racing tune, and yes, it brings it to 350 specs, although with a higher rev and slightly better power band. It will void the warranty if you are caught, although you can flash to original map if necessary. Insurance will be cheaper as well. However, if you just want the hassle free of the IS350 and the warranty, that is the only way. Also, the F-sport AVS suspension is only available on the 350.
