Default Stillen lip installation question(s)

Picked up a used Stillen lip and am in the process of sanding it down and repainting it. Hoping to install it by the end of the week.

To the point:
Im not convinced that double-sided 3m tape and #8 x 3/4' self tapping screws would be enough to securely hold it in place. To the contrary, the previous owner of the lip didnt have any issues, but I'd like to play it safe. Im considering a more robust system such as using washers to cover a higher surface area. Is this recommended? And can anyone recommend appropriate screw size, washer size, etc etc? Or is there a safer way of installing lips in general that Im not aware about?

I wouldnt want to be responsible for my lip flying off at highway speeds and endangering other people's lives.

Thanks!

I was thinking of his Stillen lip too after I get my bumper repainted again for being too low.

After seeing your post and how it is mounted, I would also be worried of it ripping off and flying off the car.

I would plan on pulling off the bumper and installing nutserts along the bottom of it, wherever the Stillen screws are supposed to go.

Decided I will keep to the stock specs of the self tapping screws, but will utilize a washer and nut system.
