Hey guys looking for a bit of help here. I love the car and everything is going well with it, I own a 2014 lexus is 350 with about 65k miles on it. The past few days the average miles have been 0 when starting the car, sometimes it keeps my last one or two trips but not like it used to. I know how to reset the trip recorder (I am not resetting it by accident or anything like that), I have scoured the web and cannot find any reason why this would not be tracking the information! Any help would be great!

Are you talking about the average MPG? If so, that does sound odd... There are different ways to show the average, be it "After Reset" or "After Refuel". You could try the latter and see if that's more useful.

That is exactly what I am talking about! I have always had it on “after reset” and never had an issue. Recently it seems to be resetting itself, my computer mind says that maybe it’s a little battery that is failing but that doesn’t seem right either.
Thanks for the response I’ll try the after refuel mode, but it has never been an issue throughout the 4 years that I have owned the car. It’s very odd to me
An idea just came to me... You think it could be battery-related? I've heard of weird things happening when batteries get low, such as climate control temperatures resetting and the like. Not likely but just thought I'd throw that out there.

That was actually my fear to be honest, I was wondering if maybe one of the cells in my battery was dying, maybe not the whole thing but just a cell or two. I suppose it would be time to go have it checked! I was hoping you were going to say “no it’s just a watch battery you can replace here*links diagram*”. Thank you once again for the response!
