IS 250 driving dynamic
Compared to my dads 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid, when I want to achieve (example 50mph), I get to it, I let go of the gas and the car goes for a while on 50 and then if I want to maintain my speed, I put my foot on the gas a bit more. For the my 2015 IS 250, I feel like I have to put a constant pressure on the gas to maintain the speed at ALL times. Even on downhill, it will decelerate. I have brand new tires, keep the pressure at 40 PSI, 35K miles.
I actually read someone else who said their throttle response cuts out sometimes, mine does very RARELY, but it's not noticeable, it's when I have very LIGHT pressure on the gas and I am on a hill.

Hybrids do decelerate and make electricity while doing it but are prone to glide along gently.
The sportier intention of your IS250 (AWD?) is trying for almost a manual transmission vibe
with greater control with the throttle. This sensation is increased when the Drive Mode is in
Sport and will be lessened a bit when in ECO. Are you driving in Sport Mode?
Not to compare the IS and Hybrid but to establish that there is no mechanical defect causing
your symptoms, what MPG's are you getting? The rating was 21 city and 30 highway. While
"your mileage may vary" you ought to be getting low 20's. If you are down in the teens for
MPG perhaps you have a mechanical problem.

Wow my situation is actually the opposite - I have never driven a car that coasts so well. Basically when I accelerate to 40mph, then I can let go of the throttle and I will still be doing 30mph after quite some time. All the other cars I've driven, decelerate way faster when off the throttle.
