Looking to buy but worried
I'm going to look at an 2017 IS200T 32000 miles for 23k. I get an email confirming my appointment to look at the car but he says it's at a Lexus deal getting the window put back on the rail. He said it fell off. This a Ford dealership I'm working with.
Should I be worried?
I asked for a Carfax and writing saying its still under warranty. I asked which Lexus Dealer it's at because I was going to call them to get all the details on the repair and warranty transfer status.
Thank you for any insight you can provide,

Hey man, a window is no big deal. It may have been nudged out of place, or if the prvious owner tinted the window, the shop may not have put it back on right.
These are excellent cars that have proven to be super reliable. Every issue I've had (2 minor, 1 CEL) in 4 years of ownership has either been fixed under warranty or good-willed by the dealer for free.
If I were in your shoes, I would not let that hold me back. Be happy that its being repaired at a Lexus and not Joe's auto-shop. Perhaps someone with mechanic experience can chime in, but as far as I know, replacing/re-seating a window is considered pretty low-risk and straightforward.

That's a pretty cheap price for a 17 with 32k miles. Any options? Nav, f sport?
At any rate your full warranty is gone in 4k miles anyways.
For reference I paid 30k for my 17 200t, f sport, with nav and few other things back in October 2018, it had 17k miles and comes with the Lexus certified warranty

Any body part that has been resprayed should be noticeable in the share or in certain lighting conditions. There is no way to get a 100% factory match from a body shop, only if they blend it with the other parts of the body. You can definitely also feel around the car on the paint to see which parts feel noticeably slicker, I find that new clear coat is smoother since less weather fallout.
All in all, if you have a guy feeling the car isn't right then you shouldn't buy it and move on to somewhere else.
