Just do it, get that GSF, if i weren't expecting to buy a home early next year, I would be moving into a GSF at lease end.

If I don't end up getting a GT-R R35, I'll most likely get a RCF or GSF for next my vehicle.

I haven’t driven any BMW since early years of F30 but when you test one out make sure to switch to Sport or Sport+ mode because unlike Lexus BMW default starts in comfort which I didn’t know earlier. I thought the car didn’t pull hard as I expected until I switched to Sport. I actually didn’t know Sport+ turned off traction and back end came loose fortunately I was able to correct it.
Yeah I definitely drove most of my test drive in Sport mode. I didn't go Sport+ because I didn't want to affect the traction control at all, considering it was my friend's car and all.

Don't get me wrong, it's a "fun" car, just doesn't seem like something that would get me excited to drive.

I'd be willing to bet Hyundai reliability is as good, if not better than Lexus. Hyundai has some serious money behind it. They are a major player. And they have something to prove.

This was Lexus in the early 90s. Hope that hits home for some of you Lexus fan boys. OP is right, there's no place for jock grabbing and muscle flexing when it comes to car brands. Not if you're older than 25 anyway. Credit should be given where it's due.

The G20 should put up a strong fight too. BMW has something to prove after creating the flunk that was the F30. BMW fell asleep with the last gen of cars. Their newer cars such as the new 3 and new 5, new Z4, new powerplants, they're saying "we're back *****es." Very extensive and expensive development bucks w/ the g20.

The C Class is a nice design, but it's old now.

also with JB4 and the new Hyundai 3.3T, serious power can be made.

I'm not really sure what's going on with Lexus. There should be some hype by now for the 4IS. Some mention of new powertrains. Something? They seem like they're asleep at the wheel.

Leaks of the G20 development came long long ago, shortly after the F30 release. We're approaching 2020 and little news on 4IS. Just rumors of it using a BMW engine. lol. Nothing on the GS either. Tons on the ES and UX though. Lexus doesn't have any grand coupe competitors while MBZ, BMW, Audi all have these categories fully stocked. No small coupes/sedans either.

Genesis is not as good as Lexus in terms of reliability. Go peruse some Genesis forums and you'll see they have issues too and Lexus by most measures is reliability king and nothing really comes close. G70 is still a new model so i'll reserve judgement until more data is available. I'm willing to go slightly used GSF vs. G70 if they are both near the $50k mark. I couldn't care less about Apple Carplay or the tech if I can have an old school V8 under the hood

You mean like our forums have reports of 3IS reliability issues?

Hyundai powertrains as a whole are extremely reliable. Turbo powertrains on the other hand tend to be less reliable as a whole, regardless of brand. Where have we heard this before...

The average Lexus driver doesn't push their car like the average BMW driver does, and that impacts the reliability ratings. If your driving habits are more to the conservative side there's no reason not to expect a good long life from a BMW

Are you serious. Lexus owns BMW , in fact , the Nissan Altima that was just tested did better on the handling testing than a 3 series BMW. I posted a few reliability awards Lexus got. I am a fan of German cars too.

LOL some of you need to get your facts straight. If you’re going to whip your **** around and say things that are far fetched back it up with sources and facts. Being over 25 and having “experience” doesn’t make you a source and doesn’t make what you say a fact.
