Default need help IS 300 F Sport Vs. IS 300

Hi, need help or advice on my situation. I like the look of the IS 300 F sport but didn't feel right on the feel of the ride. I tested out the Black line edition and car handle really nice but i don't like the confined interior seating and stiff suspension.
I forgot to test drive the Regular IS 300 F sport.
Tested drove the IS 300 F black line edition and IS 300 regular.

What would be my option?

Thanks,
Sam

Hey Sam. My gut feeling is this: if you thought the seating was too confining, you probably wouldn't like the non-F-Sport IS either. The seats in that car have smaller bolsters compared to the F Sport, but the cabin itself is going to feel largely the same. That said, if the seat itself was the issue, and not the rest of the interior, maybe you should try the regular model. It can't hurt to try.

Hi arentz07, Thanks for the input.
Do you know the black line edition and F-Sport has the same suspension?

Actually, tested drove the F-sport black line edition and regular IS model.

Didn't test drive the regular F-sport model.

The black line edition feel suspension really stiff for me, of course this is sport edition.

I might have to go back and check on the regular F-sport model.

Thanks,
Sam

I'm pretty sure the black line edition is just cosmetic, so the suspension would be the same as the F Sport (fairly firm but not terrible).

Hi Burrcold, that was a great point.
Might have to settle with regular IS.

Not sure,, this is the right place to ask.
I wanted to know what other ppl purchase on the IS 300. I have a quote from the dealer and just wanted to see what other ppl paid.

I got my 2016 300 AWD with F Sport for about $42k OTD. MSRP was $47k. Mine doesn't have Mark Levinson sound but does have heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, and navigation. Of course, this was back in 2016.

Those actually sound very similar to my options, except for the heated steering wheel being missing. Wonder why mine had a nearly $2000 higher MSRP?

It's a pretty decent deal I'd say. My deal was probably so great because I got it just before the 2017's started showing up that year.

To the OP, what did you think of the throttle response from the IS300? For everyone else that has one, is the turbo lag that bad? Would you recommend it for street use? The black line edition caught my eye, but when I read it was a 4 cylinder with twin turbos I am afraid the throttle response won't be much on the street.

Its not twin turbo, it’s a single twin scroll turbo. The turbo lag is there, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. It’s all about preference. Test drive it and see for yourself how you like it
