Speckles on Windshield
glass just needs a hard scrubbing. if its really stubborn you can clay it. if its really really stubborn you can carefully razor blade it w/ soapy water. beyond that it's just glass doing glass things. it will chip and pock over time.
If you only see it when the sun is directly shining at it, I would just try to clean it with soap or with a glass cleaner. But if it comes to a point that it bothers you on all driving conditions, then I would go with the insurance. You mentioned a couple of weeks so I'm guessing more than a month? If less, try going back to the dealer but it's going to be very close to impossible for them to replace the glass for free.
Verified this weekend and today. Speckles are still very much there after clay barring the windshield twice in the past couple of months.
I may look into an insurance fix just dont need my rates going up.
Mine looks like yours but probably worse. 100k hwy miles on mine now.
