New owner question about engine whine
Hey guys, after over a month wait my 2015 is 350 finally arrived. I love it so far but my only worry is a very loud whine coming from the engine under around 3000 rpm. I know this topic has been discussed before but I can’t seem to find the thread. If someone could put my mind at ease or link the thread that would be awesome.

I noticed a whine too at very low RPMs at low gears. It seems to be coming from the fake sound generator located in the intake. It seems to activate under throttle. See the GS thread on more information: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...r-disable.html

My tech said the same thing. I too was very paranoid about it when I first noticed it. Now its just annoying. I think I'll get the RX350 sound generator disabler and install it as noted in the thread I posted to get rid of it someday.

again, not a mechanic or expert but I’m 99.9% sure the sound generator isn’t responsible for the whining sound. The sound generator is VERY loud tho.
