Question Weird engine noise 2016 IS200t F-Sport (video)

Hey everyone looking to see if anyone has experienced this before. Noticed an odd sound this afternoon in my car when I got home, and took a video of it. Never heard this before, figured it might just go away later?

Went back to the garage this evening, started the car up to see if the noise was still there and it is. Took another video with the hood up. No check engine light no nothing, just a weird 'humming/buzzing" sound or whatever it sounds like...

Anyone have any idea what this is? It cant be the injectors since those make a ticking sound.

Sorry if the video isn't great quality, had to compress it so I can upload it here.

Thanks all.

Sounds like your vacuum regulator valve has gone bad. Common problem with 2.0T engine.

I've already had mine replaced twice, once at 23k and again at 33k. Now at 45k its gone bad again, even with the 'revised' part!

Don't know what Lexus is going to do once my warranty expires and this part keeps going bad after every 10k miles.

ahh, glad to know I'm not the only one who hears something off lol. Did yours sound like this as well? I'm assuming its ok to drive on it until I get it replaced?

also, vehicle is a lease, is this covered under warranty? Vehicle has 15k miles.

Yes, it’s covered by warranty. Plenty of people on here have had it fixed free under warranty. Bumper to bumper warranty until 50k miles or 48 months. I’m not too sure if it would be covered under powertrajn warranty which is 6 years or 70k miles. Either way you’re good.

Yes, same exact sound. You can also hear it faintly inside the cabin too.
I've driven mine for a week before getting it replaced and didn't have any problems.

Good to know. Thanks man appreciate it. I probably will take it in in a few days once I get some time :/

Right, I heard it inside and that's what led me to go outside and check. I was reading a thread on this issue I think earlier, and someone mentioned the part being back ordered for weeks and him having a loaner car for week. I saw that was in 2016-2017 so I'm assuming that wont be the case anymore since it's more of a common problem. Def don't want to be stuck with a loaner for weeks lol.
