the front is awkward. i bet there's a significant facelift in the works. the way those headlights have that strip that goes in, that little detail is bad design. i would say it's a design that would age horribly but it's already old before the car has come out. Overall the front is tolerable. just not the prettiest to look at. doesn't have the pretty of the rear.

A lot of people are spreading the same misinformation Toyota isn't offering any swap anything for this car think of the nightmare with service and costs with people swapping in various 2jzgte motors. Logic would dictate if you're going to swap get the cheapest option which is 4cyl.

I haven't driven the 2JZ for a long time (did when I was younger and a friend had it swapped in another car) but I don't think that engine would have the power (stock) and response a modern BMW turbo straight six has, particularly this B58. and it certainly wouldn't have the efficiency or quietness or burn as clean. This engine is also in the flagship 7 Series. BMW has been working on this engine for quite a few iterations now. It's refined to the tee.
i'm still not clear as to what BMW got out of this deal. What did Toyota contribute? i'm too lazy to look it up. lol. i wonder if it was basically bmw saying hey. we need to make a z4, there's not a strong business case for it unle$$... hey wanna put your badge on our car?
i dont know

wheel base is too short, it should've been longer.. rear wheel drive only won't work well in north eastern area.. reliability huge issue.. literally looks like it's ripped out of a bmw, huge disappointment will pass but definitely keep a look out on the reviews and longevity of this car.. would pick an RC350 / RCF over this any day

The Supra's front fascia is plain ugly to me... just three big voids below a snub nose. The Z4 is much nicer looking. At least the Lexus F-style fascia has some semblance of style and personality. If i'm going for a high performance coupe, i would stick with Lexus and buy the RC-F.

I wonder when people will start swapping the S55 (M3/M4 engine) into it. Or even the S85 V10 (from the earlier M5). One day in the not too distant future. The cool thing about BMW powertrains is everything bolts up to everything. There's a mountain of manual transmissions that will bolt up and line up perfectly with everything. A manual swap should theoretically be easy and cheap on this car
