I like Eagle 1, A to Z cleaner, or good ole Simple Green. Simple Green is very good about getting the dirty brown off the tires too.

Just wanted to say thanks for suggesting this - I always hate how brown the tires get over time... Didn't realize how bad it was till I got new tires that still look nice and black! Will have to try this.

I just use high pressure water or even just a garden hose w/ sprayer. Then dip a rag specifically for your wheels in car wash soap and wash and rinse.

I'm all for detailing products and high end paint care but never had the desire or need to use specific wheel cleaners. I think it's a waste of money when car soap and water (the stuff you're using anyway during a car wash) does the job perfectly fine.

I use this. Have had it for years. Lasts forever and is enthusiast grade soap! very slick stuff.

Griots heavy duty wheel cleaner is clear safe, doesn't stink too bad, and turns purple as it grabs the iron and metal bits.
