Default Carbon fiber trunk

Hey guys. So I've been trying to find a solution to the stock spring with the lighter trunk. Anyone have any ideas to stop it from opening too fast?

It's that much of a difference in weight between stock and CB trunk? cuz my trunk would not pop itself up at all stock when opened...

Yeah. The trunk now flies up. I accidentally opened it one time and it flew open. I don't want the carbon to crack so i have to hold the trunk when i open it. It's much lighter

I see, maybe you can remove the spring if you don't want them flying up. It's the opposite for me, I want the trunk to pop up when opened with the key fob lol

On my old 1996 Accord I had removed the spring with the carbon fiber trunk. Added bonus is even more weight reduction
