Paint Protection Film
I am planning to get paint protection film for my IS 350 F Sport. Looking for a 3M certified installer in the Bay Area. Any recommendations?
Thank you.
Thank you.

My advise to you would to be to not go with 3M’s venture shield or what ever they call it now. It’s not as good as Suntech or Xpel. I have had all my cars wrapped in the stuff from tip to tow. It’s worth every dime. Clean up is a breeze and you never have to worry about scratches on the protected areas again for as long as you own the car.

I have Xpel and it’s pretty damn good. I hear Llumar is pretty good too.

It’s not cheap, my setup was $1,400. That was for the full hood, full front bumper, both full fenders, top piece between the windshield and sunroof, side view mirrors, and the pillars. They also threw in the door handle cups and the door edges.

it all depends on what your installer charges. The film is pretty inexpensive for them to purchase, the real cost is in the intensive labor of properly installing it without damaging the paint and such. Generally speaking a hood, fenders and bumper and mirror covers should be about $1500-2000 bucks. Some installers have a digital template cutting machine ore cuts the exact shape needed, others free hand the films shape with sharp razor blades which can be detrimental if their hand isn’t steady.
All in all to fully cover a entire car from tip to tow it’s about $5,500-6,500. It depends on the car and what the installer charges.
Most people just do the rockers panels and front of the car as well as mirror covers.

I paid about $4800 to wrap 75% of the car (everything except back half of roof and trunk lid) with Xpel Ultimate .. my installer did the wrap around all edges so you can't tell the car has been filmed... I even had him wrap the chrome on front bumper, the emblem, and the gloss black areas on b-pillars. Best thing I have done for the car

I got a quote of $999 from Steven Creeks Lexus for 24" hood, full front bumper, 2 fenders, and mirrors. But I guess it is 3M, since a lot of you guys said don't go with 3M.
Where can I go in the Bay Area for XPel wrap?

My S2000 for the front end was about 1200, for the LS460 I was quoted about 2400, for the IS250 it was about 1300.
These were all for about full hood, front bumper, fender, mirrors.
Full cars range about 5000-6500 here. All in XPEL Ultimate.

Sorry for the delay getting to this. We have lots of options. What part of the bay are you in?
If we get you connected to a 3M installer, I'll cover the cost of our optional service agreement that guarantee's against paint damage.
