Heavily rusted bolts
Im in the process of installing my springs and exhaust and noticed heavily rusted bolts all over under the car. Is this normal for a two year old car? It seems excessive. I’ve had a car before that was 5 years old and the bolts weren’t this rusted!

Meh it's fine. Just take a wire brush to them, spray with wd40 prior to removal. make sure they're clean when reinstalling or order new ones. not a huge deal.

im just saying, for two year old car, I had to replace a bunch of nuts. I bought this car 4 weeks ago. It was in New York I believe majority of the time. It’s now in FL with me. I’m just not used to the rust and degradation in that short time!

I go down to Florida for vacation and see so many older pick-ups driving around looking super clean and up here in NJ you'd never see one on the road. Maybe rotting away in a junk yard but not driving. For a 2 year old car it looks clean especially coming from the Northeast. It sounds like your just used to cars from your area.

You floridians are spoiled. You don't understand what freezing temps and snow melting salt does to a car.

that's not really rust. the corrosion is just on the surface and will not eat through. solid metal objects you don't really have to worry about. It's the thin-walled sheet parts you need to worry about.
those bolts and nuts are all raw so naturally it'll act naturally. As long as the body or anything actually painted itself does not rust, you are fine.

you can put a thin smear of anti seize or any grease really on the outside if you want to prevent it. maybe some marine grease so it won't wash off as easily

Between road salt and brine, depending what they use in the particular in the area, the corrosion could be even worse.
My RSR Down install took 5 hours, 2 hours to install the springs, 3 hours to get all the bolts out...LOL!!! And that was with a hoist and air tools...good grief.
