Hello! I am new on here. I have a 2014 LEXUS IS250 AWD. Also, was wondering where to put this topic but, didn't see a maintenance section or anything. Anyways I had a service report telling me I need to change the Engine Crankcase Vent Valve and have been looking for a good whole day trying to find the location. I wanted to do it myself because how hard could it be? I just need help locating it. Also, have tried google but, nothing came up just stuff on PcV Valve.
Here's where to find it...at the back driver's side of the intake manifold (you need to remove the engine cover).
The PCV and Engine Crankcase Vent valve are the same thing.
When you install the new one, put a little thread sealer on it and tighten it to 20 ft-lbs. Basically snug it down if you don't have a torque wrench.
Is where my red filter is located. Sasnuke can correct me if i am wrong 8-).
No, I actually don't think that's it. The PCV is on the drivers side of the engine at the back...your red filter looks like it's on the passenger side of the engine at the front.
