So, I’m changing out the lens either tonight or tomorrow, and jus wanted to confirm a few things. After removing the two screws at the bottom of the panel, i tilt down the panel? Then i remove the plastic cluster lens housing by literally just pulling it off while being cautious of the ignition start/stop attachments? Then just detach the original lens. I’ve seen the youtube clips by beatsonic that indirectly covers this. Just want to be sure Im not missing a step.
Mainly, I just want to be sure as to not introduce dust, dirt, or oil inside the new cluster lens or the tachometer etc. To reduce risk, ill wear gloves. Was thinking about using compressed air to blow away some of the debris before detaching the old unit, but not sure if I’d want stuff floating in the air.
Ahh may be difficult to find advice as there's probably not many who've done this repair. but doing other clusters, usually yeah you just unscrew it and it tilts down. Just make sure you get all the dust out as one speck of dust will bother you forever
