Can a 2017 grill frame fit a 2014
I’ve got a 2014 IS350 fsport AWD and I want the grill to look bigger by making the grille frame a gloss black. The previous owner hit what I assume was a parking block and did a terrible bondo/repaint on the lip below the grill too and I’d like to also cover that. I can’t find these parts anywhere though, except for one place and it does not say if it will fit a 2014. Take a look at these pics.
My car is the silver one. The white one is a 2017 IS. And I’m wanting pieces 13 & 14 in black. Idk why it’s so hard to find. If anyone has done this to a ‘14 let me know. Drop links, or possible other suggestions please & thank y’all!

Welcome Katiee.
The 2017 front end, below the hood and fenders, is completely different that the 2014-16.
If you wanted to use the 2017 grill, then you would need the headlights, bumper, DRL's, etc...it could become a pricey conversion.
Alternately, you could vinyl wrap the 2014 grill surround in gloss black, and also wrap the lip below the grill in the same vinyl for the width of the grill.
I believe this would achieve the same effect at a much lower cost.

yeah, on closer look it seems you are right. I like the 2014 headlights better so I guess it’s a give and take. Good suggestion though, thanks!
Maybe ill wrap the current surround, and that lower piece (14) will fit over the lip? It looks like it would but it might be too long. Someone needs to start making that lip cover aftermarket ASAP

Chances are the piece will not fit the 2014 bumper. Wrapping that portion too would be the easiest solution.

2014-2016 does not have that lip bellow the grille. It is a solid one piece that is part of the bumper and does not detach like 2017+ does.
like others suggested, you could wrap the bottom of the bumper to mimic the 2017+.
you can also have a body shop black chrome your existing grille soround #13. Must shops do this by adding a tint to a clear coat over the chrome.
Hope this helps.
